Cancellation / withdrawal policy

Last updated: August 2026. Information on the right of withdrawal for digital content and customised services via plens.de.

1. Platform and contracting parties

plens.de is a platform where creators provide digital media (photos/videos) and may offer sales and tips. The purchase contract for digital media or customised services is generally between you and the respective creator. plens provides the technical infrastructure and may receive a platform fee on Stripe payments.

2. No right of withdrawal for digital content

For contracts for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. download or unlocking full-quality photos/videos), the right of withdrawal expires if you expressly consent to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (cf. German Civil Code § 356(5)).

By completing the purchase / payment via plens/Stripe you agree that digital delivery (unlocking/download of the purchased media) begins immediately or without delay, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal for this digital content.

3. Customised / personalised services

For services tailored to your personal needs (e.g. individual editing, retouching, crops, priority work or other extras based on your instructions), there is no right of withdrawal where the exception for custom-made / personalised services applies (§ 312g(2) no. 1 BGB).

Purchases of images and customised services therefore cannot be cancelled or undone in these cases.

4. Tips

Voluntary tips are not a supply of goods but a contribution to the creator. A statutory distance-selling right of withdrawal typically does not apply; refunds are not provided unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

5. Purchase requests without instant payment

If the creator is not connected via Stripe and you only submit a purchase request, the purchase contract arises later with the creator. Once digital performance begins with your consent, the above exclusion of withdrawal applies accordingly.

6. Technical defects

Statutory warranty rights for defective performance remain unaffected (e.g. if a file cannot be downloaded). Contact the creator and/or web@plens.de.
